About

Over the course of spring 2018, 11 Mount Mary University students researched the devastating effects of suicide on the Milwaukee community, with the intent of drawing awareness to the high number of suicides on the Hoan Bridge. We spoke to community activists, suicide prevention experts, doctors, professors, suicide survivors, and suicide victims. We were trained in how to use QPR, a suicide prevention technique, and we learned as much as we can about how to recognize and stop suicide. Our goal was to develop a resource for the Milwaukee community, and to provide hope and support for those affected by suicide.
